We’re thrilled to announce that our Anchor House We’re thrilled to announce that our Anchor House project has been featured in Architectural Record, @archrecordmag! Funded by an incredible donation, Anchor House brings much-needed housing to UC Berkeley with space for 772 transfer students.  Central to the project is the idea of ‘home’ and creating a place where these new students can build community. The landscape design works with the architecture and programming to foster a supportive and inclusive environment. As the first students finish up their fall semester, we can imagine them cozying up on the front porch as the Japanese Maples start to change colors, catching incredible sunsets from comfy chairs on the upper terraces and gathering with new friends under twinkling lights and leafy vines. It’s that time of year to celebrate the persimmo It’s that time of year to celebrate the persimmon! We are lucky to have this fruit liven our landscapes with its earthy hues of burnt umber and ochre. Its vibrance reminds us just how special these late fall months are.

Our favorite way to celebrate the persimmon is by making a delicious pudding or by simply eating it with our favorite cheese and a drizzle of olive oil.
