UC Hastings is highlighted in Architectural Record’s article on an innovative new process that reduces the carbon footprint of cement by pumping it with carbon dioxide captured from fertilizer and ethanol plants. The process strengthens the material and reduces the amount of required cement while also removing CO₂ from the atmosphere.
